I'm a 1988 graduate of Chilton County High School. In 1993, I obtained my bachelor of science degree in Earlychildhood/Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo.

I began my teaching career in October 1993 at Jemison Elementary. I was a Kindergarten P.E. and a half a day aide. I taught  2nd grade a year, 3rd grade a year, and Kindergarten nine years at Jemison Elementary until I transferred to Clanton Intermediate School. This year will begin my 13th year as a third grade teacher at CIS.

I'm a lifelong resident of Clanton. I've been married to Jessie Peoples for 23 years and we have two wonderful children, Natalie and Keilan. We are members of Clanton First Baptist. I enjoy trying to keep up will all my family's activities, attending Alabama football games (Roll Tide!) and working out. I am currently battling mestatic breast cancer for the third time that has spread to my hip.

My son, Keilan will be entering the tenth grade this year at Chilton County High School. Keilan was chosen to be a member of the Student Government Association, JV baseball team, and participated in the Summer Reunion Blast from the Past. My daughter, Natalie just started her junior year at Troy University where she is a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. She will begin her taking classes pursing her career in nursing.
