Clanton Intermediate School - (2001 - present) -  I am currently a 5th grade teacher. I have also taught at C.I.S. as a Reading Enhancement Teacher (Title I Reading/Math program for 3rd-5th grades) for 11 years.

Henry M. Adair Junior High School - 3 years (1998-2001) - I taught 5th-8th grades (Math, Science, Assessment Prep.) for 2 years. While at Adair, I also taught emotionally challenged students (various subjects) and Title I math for 1 year.

Isabella High School - 1 year (1997-1998) - I was an elementary math teacher for the Title I Math program.

Chilton Christian Academy - 3 years (1995-1997)  - I taught Junior High/Senior High (Math, Science, English) for 1 year and I taught 3rd grade (all subjects) for 2 years.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am the youngest of four children. I have a sister (Wendy) and two brothers (Greg and Bryan). I live near my parents so that we can help take care of each other.

I am the proud aunt to three nephews (Michael, Heath, and Britton) and one niece (Erica). I am also the proud great aunt to two great nephews (William and Eli) and four great nieces (Addisyn, Hadley, Mary Wallace, and Kathryn). I love spending time with my family.

I have never been married, so I do not have any children. Therefore, I often call my students "my kids". Achievement comes from hard work, not by doing the least possible. With this in mind, I want to encourage each of my students to work to their potential.

Fifth grade is a challenging year full of transitions and new endeavors, but I look forward to getting to know each of my students and watching them learn and grow.
